Shreen Bhansali    Spring 2018    Summer 2018   Shreen is a sophomore at Parsons School of Design. Her major is Strategic Design Management with Fashion Communication and Communication Design as a minor.  Combining her creative skills with her passion, she balances academics and personal activities by having excellent work ethic, strong multitasking skills and being a hard worker.  Shreen has always been passionate about the environment and has been involved in many sustainable projects since she joined Parsons. She hopes that her small efforts can one day make a larger impact.

Pamela Elizarraras Acitores    Spring 2018    Summer 2018   Pamela is a sophomore at Parsons School of Design. Her major is Product Design, although she is utterly passionate about photography and illustration, therefore, it is something she does frequently. Pamela has always been passionate about the environment and wildlife, this past year she has devoted herself to educate others through her illustrations about the effect that plastic pollution has on the ocean and the marine life. She hopes that through her creativity she can influence others positively, and make a positive impact on the environment and our planet.

Farida Abousteit    Summer 2018   Farida is a 3rd year Product Design Major at Parsons School of Design. She is interested in sustainable design interventions, particularly in the area of innovative low-impact/revitalizing materials. Additionally, the interesting exploration of designing from the angle of creating emotionally durable products that compels the user to actively engage eco-conscious practice.

Nigel Qingyuan Xu    Summer 2018   I spent most of my childhood by the water watching birds. Left home China at age of 14, I was taught the significance of sustainability by the mountains in Colorado. As a result, my design are mostly inspired by nature and the value of family. I believe that every object that has been manufactured has a story to tell, even a plastic cup have something to say in its 6 recycled lives. A story teller, as well as a designer.
